Benefits of a Natural Biodynamic Swimming Pool
A natural bio swimming pool is a beautiful and sustainable alternative to a traditional chlorine pool. It is a unique swimming experience that offers a variety of benefits for both health and the environment.
Here are just a few of the benefits of a natural bio swimming pool:
Chemical-Free: A natural bio swimming pool uses plants and beneficial bacteria to filter the water in addition to state-of-the-art mechanical filtration, which means it is completely chemical-free. This makes it a safer and healthier option for swimmers, especially those with sensitive skin or allergies.
Eco-Friendly: A natural bio swimming pool is an eco-friendly option, as it uses natural processes to filter the water instead of relying on harmful chemicals. This makes it a great choice for environmentally conscious travelers who want to reduce their carbon footprint.
Health Benefits: Swimming in a natural bio pool can have a variety of health benefits, including improved skin health, improved respiratory health, and increased relaxation.
Aesthetically Beautiful: A natural bio swimming pool is a beautiful addition to any hotel. The natural plants and rock formations used to filter the water create a stunning and unique swimming experience with views to match the beauty of Bohinj and the Julian Alps.

What is a natural biodynamic pool?
Natural pools, also called eco pools or organic pools, rely on natural elements to maintain clean and safe water.
Instead of using chlorine, UV sanitation, or salt chlorinators, natural pools utilize rocks and plants to ensure the water remains healthy and free of bacteria and algae. While they may have a slightly greenish hue, they can also have clear water similar to conventional swimming pools.
The process of utilizing plants and rocks to purify the water is known as a biofilter, which mimics the natural cleaning mechanisms found in nature.
Opting for a natural pool is a great choice for individuals seeking a swimming pool that harmonizes with the natural surroundings and those who wish to avoid chemical usage in their pool.
How does a biofilter work?
A biofilter is a natural system consisting of aquatic plants, rocks, and gravel that effectively purifies the water in a natural pool. It's important to note that the area where the water is filtered through these plants is separate from the designated swimming area.
Typically, there is an allocated space adjacent to the pool where the water circulates through the plants and gravel before returning to the main pool. This particular area, where the plants and rocks work their magic to cleanse the water, is commonly referred to as the regeneration zone. We have added and extra layer of water purification with the latest tech, including sensors, mechanical filters and different circulation pumps.
Biophilic design
Biophilic design is a concept used to increase connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect nature, and space and place conditions.
